Message - Vessels of Honor - Stacey Cormier - 2 Tim 2:20-21

VESSELS OF HONOR

In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use. If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.

2 Timothy 2:20-21

Heavenly Father, I pray for myself and all who read this today that we would be usable vessels for You. I pray that we would choose to follow the leading of Your Spirit in our lives, and be ready to be Your hands, Your feet and Your voice, even if it means stepping outside of our comfort zone. I pray that we would prayerfully guard our hearts and be mindful of what thoughts we would choose to entertain in order to keep ourselves pure and ready to be used at a moment’s notice. Help us to remember that to be a vessel of pure gold or silver is a great honor, but requires times in the refiner’s fire. I pray for those who are in the fire this morning to remember that Your watchful eye is on them. You will not leave them in the fire a second too long and let them be damaged, and when You do remove them, they will reflect Your image more clearly than ever before and be a vessel of honor for Your use. I love You Lord. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
