Poetry - The Servant and The Thief - by Randy Nelsen

Lust is a Thief
Love is a Servant
The Thief comes
 In the Darkness
The Servant in Light
The Thief Breaks
through sealed doors
In the Shadow of the Night
The Servant Opens blinded eyes
To bring hidden things to Light
The Thief comes with a dagger
The Servant with a Sword
The Thief comes within a cloak
The Servant in The written Word
which he lived and Spoke
The Thief came to take and kill
But the Servant came to do His will
The Thief came to Tell a Lie
But the Servant came
That Love should Die
And for every Man
To Make a Way
With His Life
The Price was Paid In Blood
And on that day He was lifted High
His hands Transfixed for you for I
And When he cried out with his Last Breath
The Thief was Slain With Jesus Death
