We must be baptized Jesus commands us to, but water baptism is not the same thing as the redemptive act of being born again through the baptism of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Jesus speaks of  Spiritual rebirth, which is  also the same as being born again. Being born again is a prerequisite for eternal salvation. When you forgive someone you rob bitterness of its power.Bitterness is like the bite of a snake, it fills a persons heart with poison. If a person chooses to forgive someone who has wronged them, then they can receive the antidote for their bitterness. Sometimes the antidote takes time to work its way through us, because it is a process. Sometimes time itself is insufficient for a cure, and it still requires the work of Christ within us to bring about our healing. In Gods timing all things are possible. - Randall Nelsen
